I am an independent Tamil composer based in Japan who has collaborated with the likes of Chinmayi Sripada, Mohini Dey, Shashaa Tirupati, and many other prominent musicians from India and beyond. Having immersed myself in genres all around the world since childhood, my music takes inspiration from the myriad cultures I have interacted with throughout my life.
Taking inspiration from the lec-dem tradition in Carnatic music and from music educators in the West, I started a series where I analyse the music I love, simply to answer the question - “why do we love this music?”. Whether it be in the form of YouTube videos or written articles, the objective is always the same - to provide a thoughtful and in-depth insight into why our favourite songs impact us emotionally.

How have our favourite musicians gotten to where they are? That is the central question I seek to answer in my podcast series, where I interview musicians that inspire me and have made significant contributions to the music world.
I have always felt that our love for music should never be disconnected from our process of learning it. That is the fundamental philosophy that guides me as a music teacher, as I use my experience as a composer, arranger, performer, music analyst, and most importantly music lover, to help other people deepen their love and connection with music.
